Privacy Policy
This site is owned and operated by Andy Brunker, doing business as The Plateau Nerd (“we,” “us”), the business responsible for plateaunerd.com. This policy explains what we collect and what you can control.
What we collect
- Contact form. When you message us, we collect the name, email, phone (optional), and message you provide, so we can reply.
- Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data (pages viewed, general location, device type). It does not load at all unless you opt in.
- Your cookie choice. Stored on your own device (browser localStorage) so we don't ask again. It never leaves your device.
Why we use it & who processes it
- To respond to your inquiries and provide our DJ and website services.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts the site and delivers contact-form emails to us, acting as our processor.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — protects the contact form from spam bots.
- Google Analytics — usage measurement, only if you consent.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your request and our records; analytics data follows Google's retention settings. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights & choices
- Access or delete your information — email andy@plateaunerd.com.
- Opt out of analytics anytime via Cookie Settings in the footer.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as opting out of non-essential cookies.
- Do Not Sell or Share. We do not sell your personal information. You can still use the footer link of that name to manage your choices.
